Защо да са нови? .ph е от 1990, а .lv - от 1993.
Нови са за регистратора само.

Да не ги е пуснал икан сега, но и както с нашия любим БГ регистрар не са се регистрирали и давали на други регистрари да реселват и етц.

For the longest time, the Philippines has been known by the initials “RP,” for “Republic of the Philippines.”

However, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) will now be using the initials “PH” when referring to the Philippines. This is good news for anyone who has registered a .PH domain, since the initials PH will be getting more exposure and becomes more closely identified with the Philippines.

The DFA believes that the use of the ISO-designated country code PH will lessen confusion since RP also refers to the Republics of Poland, Portugal Panama, Paraguay and Peru.

"I don't think it's been discussed at the Cabinet or subcabinet level so for now it seems a purely DFA initiative, although domains have been ph for ages," says Manuel Quezon III, Undersecretary of Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning.

There is no RP on the ISO list of country codes, and the acronym also refers to 67 Philippine embassies, 23 consulates general, and four permanent missions abroad will be using the new acronym. Airline tickets, passports, and currencies already use “PH” as well.
