Forced by the Chinese Government, CNNIC made a sudden, drastic change to its
registration policies. With immediate effect, registrants of .CN domain names
are required to submit additional paper based information.
The complete application material has to include 3 parts:
- the original application form of CNNIC stamped with business seal of the
registrant
- company business license (photocopy)
- registrant ID (photocopy)
As a consequence, private registrations are no longer possible (please also
compare: http://www.cnnic.net.cn/html/Dir/2009/12/12/5750.htm).
The new regulations are executed since 9:00 am (Beijing Time), December 14,
2009 for all new registrations. Renewals of already registered domains are
not affected. Customers who have registered .CN domains in the period between
yesterday and the adjustment of our system will be informed separately.
---
.CN domain are no longer created in real-time. Initially, the process of
registration will remain in the status "Processing". Having submitted the
usual AddDomain command, please visit our page "form generator".
There, we will provide the required form:
http://formgenerator.net/formgen/cgi.formgen.pl?form=cn-registration
After entering all required details, you can create and download a PDF
document. Together with your copy of the company business license and a copy
of the registrant ID, you have to send this generated application form stamped
with business seal to CNNIC and to Key-Systems using BOTH fax numbers or via
email using BOTH email addresses given on the form within 5 days.
The Chinese registry will check if the documents are qualified to allow a
domain registration. Accordingly, the application will be accepted (and the
domain will be registered) or denied (and the domain will be deleted). You will
receive feedback about success or refusal of the registration through our system.
